WELCOME TO MEATLESS AROUND THE WORLD!

Hello and welcome to Meatless Around the World! I've wanted to do a food blog for quite some time now, but my schedule has been hectic. I'm hoping to dedicate more time to one of my true passions: Cooking. I hope you'll come along with me on this new journey!

I've been a vegetarian since I was a child, having never enjoyed the taste or texture of meat. It was a battle back then in the 80s and 90s—choices for vegetarians included salad bars and the occasional tofu concoction. Nowadays, things have improved, but most people still think of vegetarians as eating primarily tofu and salad. And of course we face the dreaded constant question: If you don't eat meat, then what do you eat?

Having grown up in a family who loved cooking, I developed an appreciation for the culinary arts. I'm an avid Food Network watcher, home cook, and enjoy the occasional cooking "throwdown" with my family members. Lately, I've specialized in ethnic vegetarian food—Mexican, Italian, Asian, and Indian—so it seems fitting to gear my food blog toward meatless meals from around the globe. There is nothing more fun than finding a "meat" recipe and turning it into a new and unique vegetarian meal.

I hope to learn along the way, as well as post pictures, recipes, and articles of the food I make, read about, and enjoy. Even if you're not a vegetarian, I hope you'll find recipes to try here. Please feel free to reach out and connect anytime. I love talking with other food fans!
